I am a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, National Counselling Society and Chartered Management Institute. Nominated for Brave@Heart award 2017.
As a teenager, I was inspired by the book "The Power of the Subconscious Mind" and since that then I have been committed to deepening my understanding of human behaviour and the underlying processes. As a result, I have achieved a Masters Degree in Sociology of Culture at Maria-Curie Sklodowska University and further developed my knowledge of the subject by selected self-study and professional courses of Leadership and Management, Violence de-escalation and prevention, Instructor (various topics), and Mentor.
Over the years, I have been working professionally and as a volunteer with people from different backgrounds, ages, and with various issues, helping people to achieve their best, by helping them to build up their confidence, self-esteem, and guiding them towards a better future.
Why Hypnotherapy, Counselling?
Many theories have been produced to describe the interaction between mind and body, ask yourself is the mind a part of the body? or is the body a part of your mind? The theory of Dualism is stating that both are separate, whereas The Monism theory is describing the mind and our consciousness as a physical part of the body, (Materialism) but as well as (Phenomenalism) Bishop Berkeley claimed that what we think of as our body is merely the perception of the mind.
Hypnotherapeutic, Counselling practice over the years has proven that there is a strong connection between both the mind and the body, and whatever is affecting the body is affecting our mental state and whatever is affecting our mind can affect our body.
The impact can be positive when the mind is relaxed and the body is healthy, however, a negative impact is created when the mind is under prolonged stress or other past significant negative events can develop into psychosomatic illnesses.
The physical state is also a reflection on how we feel, people who lead a relatively healthy lifestyle tend to be more resistant to stress in comparison to individuals that are going through major physical trauma.
"Why Talking Therapy?"
Hypnotherapy/Counselling is a bridge that can create communication between the mind and the body. The Therapist using inductions and therapeutic tactics can help you to make changes in your mind in order to heal any subconscious trauma and consequently curing any physical and mental illnesses that have arisen.
Therapy can also enhance your performance both physically and mentally by stimulating your subconscious mind into achieving success.
However, it must be stressed that in some instances other Health Professionals may need to be consulted.
